George Alden dies after long illness in Laurel Montana
George Alden died Tuesday August 8 at his sister’s home after a three year illness of leukemia. He was born September 19 1879 in Alden Iowa, lived in Laurel Montana as a merchant banker and publisher, married Malinda Lawton in 1910 and Alyce Edwards in 1918. He is survived by his wife sister and two brothers. Funeral services were held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Sioux City with Radiant Lodge members assisting at the graveside.

Death of Brother Mrs Siedenburg
W Barton of Stockton Illinois died suddenly in Sherman park while visiting Mrs. Siedenburg and Dr F Siedenburg. He appeared well after a hearty supper but suffered heart disease and collapsed in the car. Funeral held in Stockton. Barton's sister and family had previously moved to Sioux Falls. Lon Harris moved to Ames for carpentry work.

Marriage of Gertrude Hauser and Alvin Rehm at Hebron Ranch
A formal wedding was held at the Hauser ranch north of Hebron North Dakota at 6 pm on Saturday July 29. Miss Gertrude Carolyn Hauser and Mgr. Alvin F. Rehm were married by Rev Debus of the German Lutheran church. About fifty guests attended. The bridal party included Bertha Hauser as maid of honor and Oscar and Fritz Hauser as best men. A trombone solo accompanied the ceremony. A wedding dinner followed with guests seated in a pink and white decor. Toasts were given by Jemil Krauth. The bride wore white satin with myrtle and pearls. They will reside on the groom's farm 244 miles northwest of Hebron.

Agitation to develop a coal mine near Eldora continues with Huff interests and Fred and H J Rees of Qogilen Iowa entering a contract to start work this week.
