Alden Band Delights City Park Crowd in Debut Concert
Twenty years ago Weldon Bros. were contracted for the Jefferson Highway bridge at Iowa Falls removing the old steel span. Miss Ella Klein of Hampton and Grace Jass along with Anna Klein of this place visited Aaron Illinois relatives for two weeks. A large crowd enjoyed Alden’s first concert in the city park, praised as the best locally. A group including A D Pettenger and W Sheaffer families, Mrs Lee Hucheson, Mrs Ray Schmedika and daughters Jeanne and Donna, T J Lawton and Irving Larson toured Waterloo for dinner with O A Larson’s home.
