Princess Pats Light Infantry veteran visits Albuquerque

A surviving member of the Princess Pats Light Infantry, A. E. B. Carson, is in Albuquerque with fellow Canadian veteran Ewart Durne. Carson, gassed and wounded in 1916 at Courtrai, spent long hospital care and convalescence in Canada and now plans to settle in Albuquerque seeking milder winters and work as an expert mechanic interested in mining.

Plane Crash Kills Mechanic. Pilot Injured in Colorado

Wray Colorado September 19 John McGinnis 21 mechanic and Alexander Red Lendrum Denver pilot were burned when a Denver company plane exploded after a 100 foot fall near Wray. Lendrum suffered severe burns trying to rescue McGinnis. the plane was almost demolished. McGinnis son of state senator and banker W D McGinnis had worked for about two years. Lendrum, a veteran flyer, had been making exhibition flights in multiple towns over the past month.

Youthful hold up sentenced to prison in Colorado Springs

Clarence Spang the youthful hold up who terrorized Colorado Springs Denver and Pueblo for a week was sentenced to from twenty to twenty five years in the state prison by Judge Arthur Cornforth in district court Saturday. He had held up James Alexander driver for J's Antlers Taxicab company stealing $8 and taking a car worth 4000 dollars. He pled guilty to three holdups Wednesday evening.
