Officials pursue eight investigations after a noon Wall Street blast kills 35 and wounds about 300. The attack, tied to a June 1919 bomb plot, involves a time bomb placed in a wagon near Wall and Broad streets. Rewards total 25000 for information leading to arrests.

Fort Worth Sept 11 Secretary Baker of the Texas Farmers' Union urged Texans not to plant any cotton next year and to maintain the stand until prices advance. He blamed the federal reserve board for denying finance to the holding movement as a body blow to Texas cotton growers.
Jackson M. Greiner a prominent Colorado railroad official died at his Denver home after months of illness. Born 1847 in Wayne County Pennsylvania he worked for the Erie Railroad and came to Colorado in 1878 joining the Union Pacific and later the Colorado Southern lasting until his retirement eight years ago.
A shoe box with 10000 dollars in currency arrived by mail to Mrs Charles Hayes wife of a London Paris National Bank chauffeur. The box postmarked New Orleans arrived as a bank auto trailer containing 59000 in currency and bonds disappeared. Mrs Hayes turned the box and money over to the police.
Captain Renold Amundsen of the Maud is wedged in ice twenty miles off Cape Berge on the Siberian coast and may be forced to abandon the polar expedition. Dr. James H. Condtt, Alaska Presbyterian missions superintendent, arrived by steamship Victoria from Nome confirming the danger.
Ed ward I. Fischer, detained in Hamilton Ontario, was arrested after his brother in law in New York alerted police. Fischer, deemed unfit by a lunacy commission, claimed telepathic evidence of an impending disaster and said he believed a religion of love but hated the Morgans. Police noted odd statements and a postcard sent to a New York contact.
The city of Chicago files two separate ten million dollar suits, under Mayor William Hale Thompson, against the Chicago Tribune and the Chicago Daily News. The suits claim the papers made false statements during the primary campaign asserting city bankruptcy and exhausted credit, injuring city bonds and employee morale.
In the Wall Street district Joseph O Neill reports a possible anarchist plot. A stranger, six feet tall, clean shaven, about 42 with a ruddy complexion and notable gray hair, matches the description given by O Neill who is in contact with the French high commission about Edward Fischer, a former employee.
Official returns from 110 of 1532 precincts in Denver show Karl C. Schuyler with a lead of 118 votes over Samuel D. Nicholson in the Republican nomination contest for the United States Senate. The results are compiled by the Rocky Mountain News.

Santa Fe announces Adelina Otero-Warren will head a new female field team to recruit and register women voters. The fourwoman subcommittee plans headquarters in Santa Fe and will send workers across northern counties to bolster Republican support before the November election.
Arile Sutton is in critical condition at the University of Colorado hospital after the car he drove overturned near Houlder at about 2 20 this morning. Marian Tannehill, who had hired Sutton to take the party to a Hornbrake ranch dance, also hospital bound. Four others from Nederland and Boulder suffered lesser injuries.
Julesburg Colorado September 17 hundreds of fairgoers panicked as an airplane piloted by George Myers dived into the ground during an attempt to hoist Daredevil Duncan from a moving automobile using a rope ladder. The plane was wrecked Myers was slightly bruised Duncan scratched Parker a judge suffered a head gash from debris.
Mrs. Miguel Baca suffered severe burns when a kerosene can exploded while she was adding fuel to a stove at 1109 South Arno Street. Sister-in-law Carla Baca smothered the flames, saving her life though she faces critical injuries.
Governor Shoup issued an order forbidding the Sunday opening of the Pueblo state fair citing violation of state statutes. Protests from several ministers and religious organizations were reported as the reason for the protest.
Santa Fe September 17 Special Correspondence Walter M Danburg state income tax collector urges residents with income over 5000 to file promptly and obtain a certificate showing personal property taxes paid to qualify for deduction The notice notes few county treasurers can provide extra receipts and the state will rely on the certificate totals for the deduction
Governor Cox of Ohio denounces Senator Harding and the Republican campaign, argues for cooperation with California to exclude Oriental settlers, and defends a Japanese settlement policy tying it to a Democratic platform. He praises Senator Johnson and blasts the Chicago convention.
