Jefferson City Missouri September 9 1920 Mrs Margaret Burlington convicted in Wisconsin federal court of mail fraud was refused admission to the Missouri state penitentiary today because she had a six months old baby with her A deputy marshal started back to Wisconsin with Mrs Burlington and the child on a service to the Republican party slate in the state.
Jack Robinson escapee from the Wyoming penitentiary at Rawlings was captured by Patrolman Salazar on Pacific Avenue after an earlier shoot at the Elms hotel. He carried a loaded pistol, admitted identity, and faced extradition to Wyoming while held at the county jail.
Governor Cox campaigned in Montana pledging to present the Irish question to the League of Nations if elected. In Arizona's primary, reports from five of fourteen counties show little change. Ralph Cameron leads for the Republican U.S. Senate nomination with 3,508 to 38,471 for his challenger, while Senator Mark Smith holds a Democratic lead for the U.S. Senate nomination by about 2,000 votes. Motord Winsor tops the Democratic gubernatorial contest by about 2,000 over Mums as vote totals exceed 12,000.
