RS. TEX RICKARD DIES AT AGE 41
Mrs. Tex Rickard died at her home after several days illness with pneumonia. She was 41, born in Sacramento Illinois and married to prize fight promoter Tex Rickard 23 years ago. The couple had one child, Bessie, who died in 1907. The obituary notes her interest in sports and travels with her band.

In Noblesville Indiana on October 30 the dying declaration of Madge Oberholtzer will be admitted in evidence tomorrow in the first degree murder trial of D C Stephenson Earl Gentry and Earl Klenck. Judge Will M Sparks overruled defense objections and set 30 days for a bill of exceptions. Three witnesses testified to authenticity as the decedent signed the statement March 28 eleven days after being injured and after self administered poison. The defense alleged pretrial prejudice from the court remarks but the judge denied the motion to dismiss.
