Courtney Glissen, a 30 year old teller at the Bank of Commerce and Trust in Memphis, vanished after auditors uncovered a 465k shortage. He later sent a letter claiming embezzlements across savings accounts and detailing each tampered account including serial numbers. He said the funds were to finance an automotive finish product called Permo and promised to repay. Glissen had worked at the bank since boyhood and left his wife and child behind.
