Ralph Johnstone and Arch Hexsey of the Wright team attempted altitude and distance records at Belmont Park during the International Aviation meet. Brookins won $560 for a special altitude and duration event despite light competition while the weather raged, delaying trials and drawing scant crowds.
Theodore Roosevelt marked his fifty second birthday with rapid campaign speeches across Utica Fonda Johnstown Gloversville Amsterdam and Little Falls criticising Democrat leaders and urging support for his ticket The former president highlighted labor records and attacked Winfield Foster key Democratic chairman in a rainy dreary day campaign stretch continued with two more speeches tonight.
