Oct. 25 General Francisco Murguia left Chihuahua City for Mexico City Sunday night on a special train accompanied by German Consul Ernest Goeldner a reliable merchant from the state capital said. The purpose of Murguia's trip south was not known though a report claimed he was transferred to Morelos and that Gen Eduardo Hernandez would succeed him. Merchants noted preparations for President Carranza's arrival in Chihuahua City on November 16 but now doubt he will come north.
