A man identified as the defendant directed investigators on how to install a dictagraph in Mc Namara headquarters. The case centers on charges of dynamite conspiracy and treachery against union officials.
Herbert Hockin, former secretary of the Iron Workers union, was named by four witnesses as providing information to government prosecutors against 44 defendants in the dynamite conspiracy case. In Cheyenne Wyoming on October 24 a Union Pacific passenger train struck three men, John Margaros John Tillman and John Tinnes fatally injuring one more. The trio from Youngstown Ohio had been riding a freight to reach California.
