Topeka Kan October 24 President E P Ripley of the Santa Fe said the proposed cut off to shorten the transcontinental line will be built as soon as Wall Street activity quiets. Work has begun for a few miles but paused for months. The line starts at Belen thirty miles south of Albuquerque and runs east to Texico connecting with the southern system.
