He leaves a widow Mrs Anna Breeden two sons Roscoe of Los Angeles and Marshall of San Francisco and two daughters Talma and Nellie. Funeral services were held under the Grand Army of the Republic at the Congregational church in Redondo Beach.

Train held up near Rayville by five robbers
Vicksburg Shreveport and Pacific passenger No. 2 was halted near Rayville Louisiana by five masked robbers who failed to steal any worth. They boarded from the tender, stopped the eastbound train, attempted to uncouple cars and break into the express car but doors remained locked.
