New York October 19 Witnesses in the Rosenthal murder trial cite two key points. The raid on Rosenthal’s gambling house in April was after police evidence, and that Rose and Webber threatened Rosenthal weeks before his murder. Other testimonies place Becker at home July 17, and implicate Br or Bridge Webber and Jack Rose in prior threats.
Testimony in the dynamite trial places Herbert S Hockin and McManigal in Cleveland with nitroglycerine to be used for a Fourth of July blast in Akron Ohio on July 4. Postmaster Floyd testified a package carried fuse and the government cites a conspiracy among 45 defendants to fund bombing campaigns against iron and steel contractors.

Denver October 14 Emil Howard Ross Jr 20 shot and killed his father Emil Howard Ross 44 at the family home The youth and his step mother were arrested He says the father abused the stepmother and struck him prompting the fatal pistol shot The father died five minutes after collapsing in an outbuilding

Reports show 69 new unions, 7,670 active and 2,272 honorary members added in the year. National treasurer cites receipts of $100,964 and disbursements of $91,519, with a cash balance of $16,758.

Denver officials of Riverside Land & Irrigation Co including Dr John Gould Albert Wright and Frank White were sentenced to the federal penitentiary for using the mails in a defrauding scheme. They were admitted to bail of 3500 each and will appeal to the United States Court of Appeals.
Charles H Harris 75, a former Richmond slave, was found guilty of first degree murder for shooting James Hammons, a fellow gas works worker, on July 13. The elderly man, who acted childish, accused Hammons of poisoning his food.
