Democratic vice presidential candidate Henry G. Davis wrapped a busy day in Welch West Virginia with a rally and planned a dozen talks in Parkersburg and Kenova. He will end the whirlwind trip in Parkersburg with plans to host leaders and awaits Mr. Bryan’s arrival.
Mr Bryan arrived late in Redford Indiana for a large town meeting closing the sixth day of his Indiana tour. His voice showed strain but the audience remained attentive. He spoke from a temporary stand in the courthouse square and urged support for the Democratic national ticket.
Senator Fairbanks wrapped a New England tour with brief speeches at Pittsfield Woonocket and Pawtucket where trains paused. He received cordial receptions at each stop, and in Pawtucket a large bouquet awaited him at the home of Mrs. Fairbanks, head of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
