Twelve thousand people poured through Traction Park gates to witness a splendid amusement program marking Albuquerque Day with record attendance and a vibrant event lineup.
Crowds packed the county tent from morning to night as New Mexico's Great Expo reached its climax. Fireworks lit the sky and a roaring crowd applauded the night show marking a high point of the event.
More than 12 000 people crowded Traction Park for a famed southwest exposition in Albuquerque. A grand parade led by Col John Borredaile drew cheering crowds, with packed grandstands and a record turnout at the county tent. Night fireworks by Willson drew continued applause.
The Washington forecast notes rain possible Friday and Saturday with cooler conditions. For twenty four hours ending yesterday at noon the high was 61 and low 10, with a 31 degree range. at 6 pm yesterday the temperature was 56 with northwest winds and cloudy skies.

The booth features corn varieties milo maize kaffir corn sorghum soudanegrass okra beans chili pumpkins and fruit like apples pears cantaloupes. Preserved fruits and vegetables are notably fine.
Mora county earns eight ribbons for apples and presents a striking display of vegetables grain and photos. The exhibit features cabbages potatoes cucumbers pumpkins onions turnips and beets plus oats wheat barley corn beans and peas. A free gold display from Taos county mined by Albuquerque capital is included. J D Short heads the gold exhibit and CU Strong leads Mora county agricultural display.
