Confetti filled streets as the twenty seventh annual carnival closes with larger crowds and better order than prior years. Fair grounds receipts set a new record amid a roaring atmosphere and a masqued street parade drawing wide participation.
The twenty seventh annual New Mexico fair ended in Albuquerque with the largest carnival crowd in years. Central avenue was packed and street cleanup begins. gate receipts reportedly exceed past fairs though final totals await accounting. Manager Hubb and Secretary Stamm supervised a week of festivities and heavy labor as the city absorbs the impact of a successful show.
