New York Oct 11 Total spending expenditures in 155 principal U S cities for September were 123 850 a decrease of .4 per cent from August but up 30.6 per cent over September 1921. The report notes that the peak of 1922 building demand has passed yet cooling effects of the year s energy and the winter weather set in. Total expenditures for the first nine months were 81 819 162 a gain of 60 1 per cent over the prior year.
