Veteran southpaw Plank defeats Christy Mathewson in a decisive game to crown the championship. The victory settles the World Series contest with the Athletics winning the title.
Eddie Plank stars as the Athletics defeat the Giants 3 to 1 at the Polo Grounds to clinch the 1915 championship in five games. Mathewson struggles despite strong defense from his side as Philadelphia builds a late advantage with timely hitting and an error by the Giants in the fifth inning.
Aggressive British reformer Lloyd George launches a campaign to turn people back to farming in the United Kingdom. He frames landlord power as a brake on economic independence and urges rural revival through agrarian policy.
London dispatch reports militants interrupting a Bedford political meeting with chemical dispersal and an effigy burn of Chancellor Sieyvd George. He attacked landlordism, urged land reform, and called for state aid to acquire land as crowds expelled supporters of women’s votes.

The United States commerce court, created in 1910, would go out of existence December 21 unless President Wilson signs the deficiency appropriation bill. Its judges would remain as added circuit judges until they resign or retire, after a two year fight by the house and senate amendments. The house accepted senate changes to save the judges while abolishing the court itself.
State aid secured 160 acres east of the University of New Mexico for the next fair. Commissioners Ely Scheurich Stern aim to build a large complex with exhibition hall, speedling and athletic field, plus multiple halls. Fundraising continues for a veterinary hall and new stables as subscriptions pour in. Attendance and livestock shows surpassed prior fairs, with strong poultry and horse entries.
