Weather outlook for Denver and New Mexico on Wednesday and Thursday shows fair skies with little temperature change. Arizona also expects fair conditions with cooler trends in the western portion by Thursday.

Authorities search Phillips farm for weapon evidence while James Mills widow of the slain choir leader reports widespread condolence and abuse letters.

In Aberdeen North Dakota a prairie fire driven by a gale swept fourteen miles and burned six others, including 15 year old Robert Gunder of Tolstoy who died after abandoning a car to flee the flames. Retired farmer Jacob Bollinger, 70, was severely burned and not expected to survive. The blaze scorched hundreds of acres of hay, barns and a school house as it moved from Haven across Potter and Walworth counties before stopping near Bowdle in Edmund County.
