Wreck on Coast Lines Kills Conductor and Injures Crew
Special dispatch from San Bernardino reports the California Limited train No 3 collided head on with east bound No 2 near Crozier canyon at 2 am. Conductor Elmer A Boyd known as Pete Boyd was killed and Engineer Horace Sheine was fatally injured. Fireman mail clerk barber and three passengers were hurt. Sheine's actions kept the wreck to the engine and baggage car. Sixteen hour delay followed.

Several Albuquerqueans were passengers in a wrecked limited train that left Albuquerque Sunday morning. Mrs D A Macpherson and two children escaped with severe shakings up Crozier canyon where the collision occurred on a steep grade and sharp curves. Wrecks have been numerous on this Coast Lines section.
California Methodists Seek Freedom on Amusements
The Southern California Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church adopted a near unanimous resolution urging the General Conference meeting in Minneapolis next May to strike from church discipline the proscription on card playing theater dancing. It urged replacing it with Wesley’s view that such matters are matters of personal conscience for each member.
