Berlin November 28 President Von Hindenburg signed and sealed the Locarno treaties legalizing the security pact and arbitration pacts and Germanys entry into the League of Nations. He approved within 24 hours of Reichstag ratification rebuking opposition and pleasing Chancellor Luther and Foreign Minister Stresemann.
Gallup New Mexico November 28 Three suspects are held in the killing of Pete Milan a Gallup merchant attacked and robbed in Gamerco Friday afternoon he died of his injuries Milan 28 years old was collecting money for his store when assaulted with a pipe robbers took 51 from a pouch and left 200 in an inside vest pocket Milan leaves a widow child and large family behind as authorities investigate motive and suspects proceed with charges.
Washington moves to revisit a retroactive cut in inheritance tax rates in the tax reduction bill. The Ways and Means Committee will ratify minor changes next Wednesday while factions push for removing the provision to spare revenue. A repeal of the auto mobile passenger car tax from 5 to 3 percent may trigger the main conflict as the bill advances.
Dickerson, former Nevada governor and federal prisons director, died at his Carson City home at 4 50 this afternoon. He led Nevada prisons and served during World War I era.
Eugenio Sena, about fifty, a filigree jewelry maker, was struck by a car at Fourth street and Stover by William Seery of 721 South Fourth street. Sena suffered a broken leg and multiple broken ribs and was taken to St Joseph's hospital. Seery said he could not stop in time. witnesses said Sena stepped into the street from behind another car. Sena had recently moved from Las Vegas and served as financial secretary of the Las Vegas Knights of Columbus council. Seery faces a reckless driving charge and will appear in police court Monday morning.
A Republican dinner will be held at the Franciscan Hotel next Friday at 6 30 p m for Berna Lillo County Republicans. State chairman Hugh A Williams and executive committee head James G McNary will speak. The event aims to energize northern counties for the campaign with many attendees expected from surrounding areas. George Sakata alias George Sim, a Japanese man from Cheyenne Wyoming, was arrested in Pueblo after allegedly trying to pass a twenty thousand dollar draft drawn on a defunct Cheyenne bank and contracting purchases of two high priced automobiles and groceries in Colorado and Pueblo. He toured the auto district Thanksgiving weekend and was nabbed as dealers sought to sell him a car. Colorado Springs police had asked for him, but Pueblo officers arrested him first.

Prohibition officers seized three stills and liquor with 100 gallons mash on a Santa Rosa road property owned by Walter S. Johnson nine miles north of Fort Sumner. Johnson arraigned in Fort Sumner with 1000 bond. A 54 gallon barrel still at J. C. Boyd’s Taiban ranch yielded 100 gallons mash and a half gallon moonshine. Boyd fined 73.25. Additional stills found south of Taiban and near Socorro.
In New York on November 28 selling pressure surged in the final hour, driving cotton prices sharply lower to season’s lows. Final quotes show a net decline of 15 to 24 points from the earlier level amid heavy volume.
Governor Miriam Ferguson offered a $500 reward for each conviction of liquor law violators worth $5,000 or more as she accused critics of her pardon policy. She urged Methodists to help convict rich violators while criticizing press and politicians over the highway probe and state governance.
