The Church of the Sacred Heart led by Rev. J. H. Carbajal announced plans for a two story community center at Fifth and Stover. The project includes an Olympic size 160 yard running track a large 1800 seat auditorium a spoon shaped eight foot deep swimming pool and a basketball court.
Raton New Mexico November 26 Raton and Clayton high schools played today with Raton defeating Clayton 7 to 0 by a pass in the third period The weather was ideal and a large crowd attended Clayton showed some fumbles and incomplete forward passes while Raton's defense held after scoring The fire half featured loose play and miscues on both sides.
State College November 26 New Mexico Military Institute faced the Aggies in a Turkey Day gridiron fray. The Aggies scored three touchdowns including a 60 yard interception return and a late fourth quarter drive to seal a 19-0 victory.
Chief of Police Zaphiropoulos and a male officer faced court martial for embezzling public funds. They were sentenced to death with others receiving life or lesser terms. The actions occurred amid a broader offense in Saloniki involving civilians and military personnel.
