Alamogordo New Mexico November 13 W S Stalworth of Roswell was found shot in the side eight miles northeast of Pinon by Deputy U S Marshal Lee Wilkinson He will recover This is the third hunter shot in as many days in the Sacramento mountains southeast of Cloudcroft Elwood Van Doren and John L Mays were involved with wounded and killed respectively The woods are reported to be filled with hunters in this section.
Leroy Miner 17 of Des Moines was fatally shot in Raton New Mexico when his schoolmate Orville Green accidentally discharged an old 44 revolver during a pre play scuffle over a chocolate box. The incident happened at the Miner store as they prepared to go to practice. The gun, kept for a rehearsal, had three unfired cartridges and one blank.
In Cincinnati on November 13 the US circuit court of appeals affirmed two year prison terms for Congressman John W. Langley of Kentucky and Milton Lipschutz of Philadelphia for violating the national prohibition act and attempting to remove 1,400 cases of bonded whisky from a distillery. Fines of 10,000 dollars each were upheld. Langley, while appeals were pending, ran for re-election and won another term.
Pikeville Kentucky November 13 pres John W Langley said Congressman Langley has been very ill at his home since Sunday and had no comment on the Cincinnati circuit court of appeals upholding his sentence. Langley was sentenced to two years in prison for conspiracy to remove whisky from a government bonded warehouse at Lawrenceburg Kentucky.
Pipe for the central gas line from the Wellington field to Fort Collins has arrived and laying began today. Wiley and Graves, contractors for Cities Service, say trenches will be dug and pipe laid, screwed and welded, with about a mile completed daily. The line stretches from near the Union Oil Scott well fourteen miles north to Fort Collins.
New York November 13 refined copper stocks to November 1 totalled 72 855 short tons, up from 69 007 a month earlier and 77 343 two months prior. Above ground copper at smelters and refiners in North and South America stood at 316 792 tons on November 1, versus 315 391 on October 1.

J A Johnson age 48 an electric engineer of 100 Menmley avenue sustained a fractured leg and severe bruises after an electric plug blew at the Santa Ve power house at 6 45 Friday evening He was alone at the plant and is believed to have been repairing the plug when it exploded He was taken to the Santa Fe hospital for treatment.
