Fireman R E Van Loo and ten passengers were injured with multiple contusions and lacerations. The wreck occurred as Scout ran past stop signals into the California Limited at a crossover.
London dispatch reports Dr. W. W. Yen resigned Saturday and departed for Shanghai. The move appears to clear the way for Dr. Wellington Koo who arrived in Pekin Sunday morning.

Washington May 29 The Supreme Court ordered dissolution of control of the Central Pacific railroad by the Southern Pacific company. The decree severs ownership or lease control while protecting the Union Trust mortgage. The ruling directs apportionment or joint use of terminal lines and bay facilities to assure fair competition and access for both systems.
In Ricardo New Mexico a single World War I veteran’s grave will receive Memorial Day decoration led by widow Mrs. Bd. WR. Martin. A letter to a El Paso florist requests one dollar worth of flowers to adorn the soldier’s grave and asks for parcel post delivery due to the writer's poverty and uncertain address.
President Harding interrupted a Chesapeake Bay weekend to visit the U S Naval Academy at Annapolis and watch Army defeat Navy 8 to 7. He was accompanied by Mrs. Harding and other officials, then returned to the Mayflower for a swift departure to Washington.
Santa Fe May 29 The United States Senate favors keeping the land offices at Clayton and Fort Sumner. Senator H O Bursum told Governor M F Mrechem the Senate passed the resolution to continue both offices and hopes the House concurs before July 1. If not, the two offices will be consolidated with the remaining land offices.
The Senate Finance Committee may approve the measure on Wednesday. It is expected to follow the House stance with loan provisions and related details.
