New York May 4 Proceeding in bankruptcies against the firm of Heinze and company stock broker which went into the hands of receivers during the panic of 1907 will be abandoned if the report of the special master in the case is confirmed by the United States district court. Nathaniel B. Smith the master reported that there was no proof to show that the firm was insolvent or that acts of bankruptcy had been committed. Counsel for Heinze and company stated today that the total indebtedness of the firm at the time the petition was filed was about 4 500 000 and that one half of it has already been paid.
