Chicago April 30 The Illinois attorney general pledges to clear up charges tied to Senator Lorimer bribery claims. Representative White alleges payments for his Lorimer vote and a generalized “jackpot” fund. Browne Wilson Link Shephard Luke Clark and others deny or dispute the bribery tale as officials probe the St. Louis hotel meeting details.
Reported April 30 mentions a large smallpox case at Bryant School in central Denver’s Hatian colony area. Health authorities say several hundred children attended the building and two other units are under surveillance as all pupils are tested.

Four persons died and fifteen were injured late tonight in a collision between a Seattle Renton and Southern Electric Railway passenger car and a coal car at Rainier Beach on Lake Washington. The coal car, rolling down a hill, struck the passenger car. the motorman escaped unharmed while others aboard were hurt.
The Roosevelt party toured Delft to view tombs of Huge Kollous and William the Silent at Nieuwekerk. Troopers of the Twenty third squadron sent Colonel Roosevelt a photo of his horse and pledged care. Roosevelt signed autographs for the troopers and dined with the American minister and Mrs Beaupre amid a reception for the colony.
Margaret Emerson McKim wife of Smith Hollins McKim society figure of New York Newport and Baltimore filed a divorce suit in Reno district court. The complaint was withdrawn by her lawyers and the allegations remain unknown though she expects her husband to contest. Smith Trollins McKim a Baltimore physician nicknamed the Bromeose linger king is prominent in the case.
