Sofia March 06 reports from headquarters show Valensian forces suffered 11000 killed and wounded across the March 24 to 26 fighting that ended with Adrianople’s capture. Servian losses reached 500, Turkish prisoners numbered 4000 with 53 officers. Trophies included 63 tons of calibres, 58 machine guns, 10 rifles and other materiel.
Mrs. C A Walker wife of a Salt Lake banker was seriously injured when the car in which she and her husband were fleeing two highwaymen crashed through a small bridge near Los Angeles. Mr Walker escaped injury. The pair pursued them along an unfamiliar road and after increasing speed the car distanced the bandits only to strike disaster.

Carrizozo N M March 29 Governor W C McDon wid will enter a hospital in El Paso Texas for treatment of a chronic stomach ailment that has seriously affected his health recently He does not plan to undergo an operation and hopes for recovery with rest and proper care.
Clyde Stratton serving a five year federal sentence for the McCool Indiana robbery escaped Fort Leavenworth prison by crawling a mile through the sewer. Two other escape attempts by prisoners were captured after sewer bursts overwhelmed them.
Stratton, a college graduate linked to a Chicago murder case, escaped from prison via a sewer after a raid and was recaptured while his two companions were found in a ravine sewer. He had prior escapes from Columbus prison and boasted of sewer escapes. He was later sent to a federal prison in March.
