Special to the Vaughn News reports three unidentified men from Old Mexico burned to death when a late night fire destroyed the Abo hotel and Vaughn News office in Vaughn. Fire started in the hotel room after the men, said to be intoxicated, occupied a room with a lamp burning. Local volunteers fought the blaze as wind fanned flames, destroying the hotel and adjoining shops. bodies remained unreadable hours after the fire. Identification seemed unlikely.
