Clovis improves though miles remain under water with the court house and high school ringed by flood. Vitalia streets, the residence area, four feet deep. beet factory submerged. Woodville and Palmersville deluged. east country submerged. traffic halted on the Southern Pacific line though scheduled to resume tomorrow. Rain in the mountains east of here.
One man died another mortally injured and two more hurt when a derrick fell during construction at the Hotel Raleigh addition in Washington on March 1.
A mountain slide unleashed near the Bear Creek basin shortly after dark toppled from the east range. It swept down the mountain side, crushing a cabin and killing August Helene instantly. A man named Hivilene and a 40 year old partner suffered fatal injuries.
