Washington February 28 The Senate debate on the War Finance Corporation measure to raise 4.5 billion dollars to aid industry and power closed with a vote allowing the President to appoint four directors instead of a secretary. Senator Hollis and Thomas criticized the plan calling it socialist and capitalist yet supported its wartime necessity. Thomas warned against inflation and higher taxes saying 25 percent would paralyze industry.
In Lake City Utah on Peb 28 Meat Heiter a German, seeking his friend Anton Ruishman another German arrested yesterday, is now in police custody. Both Ketter and Kulehinen are said to be members of the Industrial Workers of the World.

London January 23 A group of several women and a southern suburb followed a butcher lad from a shop to a quiet road there they portioned the joints on his tray and shared the meat at the price on the ticket. The lad returned with an empty tray claiming a hold up and paying cash.
