Reported from the Polish capital says a new German assault opens with heavy artillery and bayonet fighting. The battle follows a period of intense shelling as German forces press toward Warsaw.
English public trusts war will last long with continued German offensives. German forces claim breakthroughs northwest of Halicz and near Lemberg as Russia retreats in Galicia. Analysts warn of a fresh push toward Warsaw along the Vistula and Narew rivers while munition production surges in Britain.
Rome reports a steady Austrian Italian conflict with long range artillery duels on the Tyrol Trentino frontier. In Carniola the Freikofel attack was renewed. West of Monte Croce the Zeillenkofel summit was taken. Isonzo progress is slow but ongoing. Monfalcone canal mouth orders were issued to flood. Engineers faced heavy fire during operations on the 11th and 26th nights amid mountain warfare.
Paris reports a fierce night battle near Quennevieres and the labyrinth in which both sides used hand grenades. A German surprise attack on Arracourt failed while French aviators dropped twenty bombs on Douai stations.

June 27 German army headquarters reports fierce fighting across the Pyniester between Dukaszewice and Chodorow in Galicia with northern bank hill taken. In Arras Argonne and Meuse sectors French trench and mine positions attacked. Russians report no change in eastern theater while Dniester hills north of Bukasowice Chodorow fall to storm. 850 prisoners and several machine guns taken near Rawa Ruska.
Paris reports a night of violent fighting on June 26 27 with fierce artillery in Belgium Arras and the Argonne. In an informal interview General Huerta states he has retired from soldiering unless Mexico faces a foreign foe and hopes for peace within five to six years. He denies plans to enter Mexico in the current revolt and explains reasons for his El Paso visit and train stopover.
