Seven Killed and One Hurt in Wreck at Clinton Iowa
Seven men died and another was fatally hurt when a freight train collided head on with a gravel train at Del Mar and Downs, two miles east of Del Mar, on the four mile descent. Both engines wrecked and 28 cars damaged as wreckers cleared the scene for six hours. Victims not identified, believed to be riding in a freight car.
