Chancellor Lloyd George in a magazine article predicts the advent of votes for women householders and wives of electors as soon as suffragettes end militancy. He denounces militancy as organized lunacy.
London June 1 1912 Lloyd George Isaacs and George defend their participation in Marconi share dealings before the House of Commons. They admit carelessness but deny dishonesty and express regret for not revealing all facts. The scene ends with a party-friendly cheer and a tempered rebuke from Lord Robert Cecil.

Oxnard and Palmer letters reveal a long campaign to influence tariff policy and congressional support, with executives like Charles Warren and Frank Lowrey linked to sugar interests and press publicity.
The Modern Woodmen of America will refer a readjustment of rates to a nationwide vote by the entire membership following protests over a recent rate increase approved at the last camp in Chicago. Voting closes by August 1, 1913.
President H J Meehan of Dresher denounces U S forestry policy of sending free young trees to landowners for reforestation as a threat to the nursery industry. Military aviator Pon Denever was killed near Etcampes France during a flight. At 156 feet height he raised his hands then crashed to earth. The cause of the accident remains undetermined.

Twenty six Progressive party members in the 48th General Assembly pressed Governor Dunne to sign the woman suffrage bill immediately. He forwarded it to Attorney General Lucey for an opinion but the progressives want approval without waiting for or considering that opinion.

A parish church at Rowley Regis near Dudley was destroyed by fire tonight causing about 20000 dollars in damage. Authorities attribute the blaze to suffragettes.

In Valley Forge Pennsylvania on June 18 Miss Eleanor Wilson daughter of the president unveiled a New Jersey monument marking the site occupied by continental troops during General Washington's stay. The ceremony included an oration by Dr W H 8 of Rutgers college and a thirteen gun salute to the original states.
