President Harding and party will tour scenic wonders in Yellowstone and Yosemite Valleys during a western visit. Officials anticipate guided tours and official observances at major park sites.
The interior department announces an itinerary for President Harding and party visiting Yellowstone National Park and Yosemite Valley on their Alaska trip. They will view Old Faithful, Giant Geyser, Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, and fish for trout with two days at each reserve, then proceed to California and Glacier Point before returning.

Ruhr workers in Essen held meetings to decide actions after French forces seized Ruhr rail hubs at Dortmund Bochum and surrounding towns cutting German food imports. They weigh cooperation with the French against continued passive resistance amid rising prices and shortages.
Shelby Montana June 17 The St Paul challenger Tommy Gibbons rested in a bungalow with his wife and two children after a drizzly downpour. Manager Lane said Denver middleweight George Manley would join sparring staff this week and Jimmy Delaney’s arrival helped. Lane seeks another fast heavier boxer to pressure Gibbons. Alike Collins said Delaney might meet Jack Burke in a preliminary on July 4.
In Vienna on June 17 a black caterpillar with a yellow stripe is reported invading fields in Stevrege and Pulgarn. The invasion coincides with unusually warm drought conditions that are leaving the country barren.

Water covered the car tops and trains were delayed while crews repaired lines and bridges.
