Washington June 16 Representatives Weeks and Longworth led debate defending the American Woolen company from trust accusations. Weeks argued the firm holds about 15 percent of the industry, cheap imports, and diverse stock among 12,400 holders. Denver June 16 Attorneys for Mrs. John W. Springer admit service of divorce summons in Chicago two weeks before the May 23 shooting of Louis Von Phul in a hotel barroom. He outlines troop payments and a colonization plan for Lower California to ease treasury strains.
London plans lavish coronation week as sultans rajahs and other foreign delegates arrive with their entourages. Francisco I. Madero enters Mexico City after a five day southern tour. Ambrosio Figueroa accompanies him with 12 000 insurgents earlier, now about 5 000 remain in arms. Madero orders distribution of goods in Cuernavaca to pressure Zapata's 1 500 troops.
In Concord New Hampshire the Merrimac county probate court hearing on the state’s petition to determine Mrs Mildred Eddy's personal property in Massachusetts was continued nisi as both sides were unready. A United States circuit court hearing is set for July on E J Foster Eddy's suit against Henry M Baker the executor of Mrs Eddy's will seeking to take the case pro confess.
Washington officials accused of abetting a monopoly in mail chute business before the House committee. F T Nesbit of New York contractor and Edwin F Nault of New York company president alleged a Rochester firm maintained its monopoly via post office methods.
