Cranvyile James a Denver barber and his wife left for London to attend the coronation of King George. The king arranged transportation for the couple, who trace their family ties to the former Duke of Cornwall. James's father barbered in Bermuda, and the youthful James once aided the duke, who pledged a future favor. The king’s attorneys later located him in Denver after a career across Boston New Hampshire and San Diego before the coronation invitation was confirmed.
Washington reports the $50 million Panama bond issue is oversubscribed as banks offer to subscribe the whole issue.
