In San Salvador on June 15, heavy rains caused the Acelhuate and canal rivers to overflow and join in one flood, inundating the Candelaria district. About 300 people are reported drowned and 500 bodies have been found as houses were swept away.
Investigators in Washington and the United States probe an alleged confession by William Johnson alias Trimatchenk. He reportedly admitted causing the destruction of three British munition ships in Halifax harbor in 1917, which led to many deaths. Johnson killed himself after revealing hints to J R Cox, a mine captain, who alerted authorities.

Tubb, a homesteader, died after exchanging fire at a general store in Junction. Deputy McPherson was wounded, railroad agent Magnuson was shot, and three others including Mrs Tubb and a 21 year old, J A Graham, were wounded. Tubb's 13 year old son recently had both feet amputated after a prior hospital stay.

Dayton Ohio June 13 The Associated Press reports Captain FW Stevens aerial photographer McCook Field broke the world's parachute jump record descending 24206 feet in a Martin bomber with Lt Wade and Sgt Langham aboard Stevens described near suffocating conditions after losing his oxygen tank during a 120 mile hour wind ascent and a 30 minute descent to Jamestown Ohio He said the bite of zero degree air and the gusting gale made the jump unforgettable.

George Tyler of Baltimore, lecturer on Pitfalls of Ruin, was held by the coroner in Philadelphia on June 13 for criminally being responsible for the death of Miss Mary Emslie on May 27. He allegedly drove while intoxicated en route to an anti rum speech at Whosoever Mission when the fatal collision occurred.
Theodore Ostrom drove the old overland stage into Sheridan after an arrow attack near the route. Three passengers were wounded and treated as Ostrom recalled past clashes with Sioux. Cincinnati June 12 The Associated Press reports that the Asperman Federation convention condemned the ship subsidy bill as a cunning scheme harming taxpayers and public sea power. Delegates voted to protest to Senate and House leaders and warned of further attacks on the Harding administration. Andrew VFuruseth of the seamen's union spoke during floor discussion.
Governor Mechem requisitions the Oklahoma governor to extradite Fred Becker also known as Fred Murray from Tulsa where he is jailed. Becker was sentenced in San Miguel county for larceny on June 26, 1920 and violated his parole dated March 4, 1923.
