Washington June 13 The Interstate Commerce Commission refused the application of the Western Pine Manufacturing Association to reopen its complaints against railroads over the application of rules and rates. The decision halts further action on the disputed tariff and service terms as proposed by the association.
Washington June 13. After months of saying he would not run for re election Senator Pall Republican of New Mexico announces plans to seek the office again in the fall election.
The forecast for New Mexico calls for generally fair conditions Friday and Saturday with little temperature change. No significant precipitation expected.

Palo Alto Calf June 13 Private John Peterson Battery A second field artillery died tonight of injuries from Monday’s explosion of a six inch howitzer. Private Henry Ruslo of Chicago was killed instantly. One unnamed soldier was severely wounded and more than five others suffered minor wounds.
Washington June 13 reports the secretary plans a westward journey in the coming weeks instead of remaining at White Sulphur Springs West Virginia to recover from throat trouble. He will skip speeches and conferences to avoid straining his throat.
A blaze struck Elevator B of Elevator Grain Company in Beach Grove near Indianapolis shortly after midnight. The structure, containing about 500000 bushels of grain, is believed to be a total loss. Origin of the fire is not known.
