Verona Italy June 18 reports from the front detail the capture by Italians of Monte Augna about four miles northeast of Ala. The position was heavily fortified with wire entanglements and three trench lines and included a platform construction.
An Italian reconnaissance detachment misled Austrian forces by presenting as a battalion while numbering under 100 men. The Austrian garrison surrendered and the fortifications including two large barracks cost about £800,000 with modern equipment. Rovereto remains visible from Monte Zugna near Trent.
Geneva reports an Austrian airship returning to Trent after reconnoitering the Valtellina frontier was dashed against Adamello rocks in a storm. The craft was badly damaged. news received today from Innsbruck via Buchs Switzerland.

Vera Crag reports from Merigo City that a Puebla edition of Deimo Carranga dispatches describes Gen. Pablo Gongaila’s meeting with Villa Zapata delegates offering armistice terms. Gonzales demands Carranga allegiance or evacuation with 48 hours. Carranza predicts a flight from Mexico City and Gen. Genezele plans to feed 100000 people if the city falls. residents suffer great want.
