A northern Ohio summer resort was struck by a severe storm with winds of eight miles per hour, injuring more than a hundred and killing a boy, while causing extensive property damage reported in New York on June 11.
Li Yuan-Hung arrives in Peking to resume the presidency after five years out. He accepts the role only if the tutiens and high inspecting commissioners resign and accompany him to confer on China’s welfare. The veteran statesman, 77, spoke of sacrifice and reunion while urging political unity.

El Paso Texas June 11 United States customs officer C T Burehfield was shot in the left cheek bone by bootleggers attempting to wade the Rio Grande near the Santa Fe street bridge. He and two other officers pursued the fugitives who opened fire, one suspect was captured with several cans of grain alcohol while the others fled to Mexico.
