Durango Colorado June 10 The Ute Indian reservation lease sale yielded 43600 with 18640 acres across five tracts auctioned under Col E Walters Skeedee Oklahoma. Gypsy Oil Co paid 36000 for tract B 4726 acres while Ramsey Petroleum took tract C for 5000 and W R Childers Gallup New Mexico acquired tract A 1000 and EB 600 for tract EB 9690 acres.

Santa Fe June 10 District Judge Reed Holloman sentenced Edumento Mestas to 9 to 60 years for second degree murder after pleading guilty to shooting Juan Mes ies during a ride. The discovery came when Mestas sold the victim's pistol bearing initials. He led officers to the burial site and was photographed holding the skull.
Governor Hinkle pardoned two Coggins of Quay County for driving while intoxicated and affirmed by the supreme court. The pardons aimed to let sureties escape producing him and he remains in Texas penitentiary after failing to perfect appeal. Bond remains pending appeal. the conviction was affirmed.
Rupert J. Todd of San Juan Porto Rico the island’s longest serving Republican National Committee member and Mont Reilly former Kansas City governor were both unseated as delegates to the Veene 2 meeting.
Moveland Ohio reports the convention has chosen a notification committee to inform President Coolidge of the convention's action. Members include Mrs J J B Niesander of Arizona Mrs Werner Z Reed of Colorado New Mexico’s John TY Evans and Texas T B Ler.
