Rioting at the railway station, crowds shouted down with wrecked cars, troops called in, women and children injured. Annapolis July 25 The navy nears end of inquiry into Lieutenant James N Sutton death with witnesses for outside parties. Marine sergeant and chauffeurs testified about a chaotic night near Carvel Hall and the parade grounds while Sutton’s mother continues to push for an outside agency responsible for his death.
Witnesses describe a late night incident near the camp where Lieutenant Sutton faced two officers Adams and another sergeant. Adams rushed Sutton, threats and a call to retreat followed.
