Arthur Seligman a Santa Fe business man is appointed to fill the vacancy on the territorial board of equalization following the resignation of Hon. Chavez. Seligman a Democrat has served as Santa Fe County Commissioner and on several territorial boards.
At a busy London Ontario business center a landmark building collapsed trapping shoppers. Nine people were killed and several others injured as debris filled the ruins. Rescue crews searched the wreckage amid dust and chaos.
A three story Crystal Hall building on Dundas Street collapsed just after 5 PM. Nine people are confirmed dead with five seriously injured, while rescue parties search through the debris all night.
