Desperate fighting in the Balkans continues as Servians suffer higher losses than in earlier campaigns against the Turks. Authorities admit defeats and ongoing heavy casualties shape morale and strategic outlook.
In the Balkans a major Bulgarian push across Serbia’s northeast and toward Nish triggers heavy fighting along the Vardar and Bregalnitza rivers. About 200000 troops are engaged with high casualties. Greek advances and Bulgarian claims of victories near Koprili and Tahynos lake are reported. Refugees surge to Saloniki as Greek forces seize 16 guns at Dotran and accusations of burning villages and atrocities widen the crisis.
