The man was discovered by a hospital attendant and pursued through a room where officers tried to search him. He broke for a window and was shot as he climbed through.
A wireless report states the American steamer Angiovene ran aground off Besterpland on the Nova Beotia coast. The vessel is pounding the rocks with the crew reported rescued by authorities.
