Helena Mont Jan 7 The tenth legislative assembly convened today following last night’s Republican caucus nominating RE. W. King of Gallatin county as speaker. The result is seen as a boost for Joseph M Dixon to unseat former Senator Lee Mantle and his candidate A J Bennett who lost two to one. A senatorial caucus is scheduled for tomorrow night.

The Admiral Parragut sighting off Cape Henry proved false. the vessel Power remains missing despite owners calling it a stout craft with modern equipment and seaworthy provisions.
