Funds will build and equip a hospital and laboratory with the legislature asked to appropriate 450 000 annually for five years to complete a 4 506 000 project.
W Harry Lord, a San Francisco Bulletin sports writer since 1908, died during surgery in a local hospital. He was a native of Philadelphia.
The certificate for Armour and Company of Delaware was filed in Dover on December 27. The $160 million capital allows cattle and livestock trading and related activities including meat packing, manufacturing, and general commerce with plants and branch establishments. Chicago December 27 Details of the financing of the Armour and Company of Delaware and the reported pending Morris and Company purchase have not been announced by J Ogden Armour. It is believed the financing would involve a Delaware holding company issuing 60 million dollars in preferred stock and 56 million in common stock from an authorized 160 million.
A six member German committee was named to assist the Carnegie Foundation in preparing an economic and social history of the world war under Columbia University’s historian.
