The Iran Army Board approves a report detailing a 320 million fund allotted by Congress for reclamation projects. President signs off on the apportionment among 14 regional allocations.
President Taft approves the engineers report distributing a $20,000,000 reclamation loan among western projects including Rio Grande New Mexico Texas and Mexico 4 500 000 and Grand Valley Colorado 1 009 000 and Sunnyside Yakima 1 250 000 The report notes maintenance only funds for several sites and warns allocations remain subject to adjustment as work proceeds

In Ewing Missouri on December 26 Rosa McCoy an 11 year old girl was struck and killed by a bullet from a firearm her grandfather Clarence McCoy was cleaning at his home. Ben Tredmore was handling the gun when it discharged. Local authorities investigate the accidental shooting.
In Prescots Arizona Geo H Hendricks was shot and killed by his brother William Hendricks at their father’s home while an arrest effort was underway. The elder sought aid to arrest his sons as the wedding eve confrontation escalated.
A blaze today destroyed a warehouse in Pittston Cal Dee containing about ten thousand tons of hay valued at roughly $125. Fire crews fought the flames, with damage estimated at the site and losses to Lore Con.

A Christmas finish on a new tabernacle in Barberton Ohio collapsed its roof injuring several and killing real estate dealer J. H. Wyers. The accident occurred during revival preparations with fifty deacons and laymen present. Two preachers were among the injured and one may die.
In southeast Georgia near Waycross, two men Wal ter Allen and Daner Crewe died after a pistol fight yesterday and today. Crews shot Allen through the heart and was himself shot by Crewe as he fell, with a fourth man dying later.
In Ashville Nova Scotia Ramsey was jailed on a charge of insulting Mrs Zella Ward after a holiday visit. Ramsey entered the Ward home as a friend of the family and kissed Mrs Ward in the presence of two children. Police detained him after the incident.
In Pokovice Oklahoma on December 26 mistletoe berries caused the deaths of three children and left two seriously ill. The fatalities include two children from the Francis Wright family and one from the Benjamin Wright family, all from neighboring households.
James Smith released a statement rebutting Governor-elect Wilson on the New Jersey senatorial race. He denies backing Wall Street interests, defends state rights and tariffs, and accuses Wilson of misrepresentation and hypocrisy over the primary and Martin’s candidacy.

Wellston December 26. Frank Buckley a miner fatally stabbed his wife at a sick neighbor’s home then ordered the neighbor to leave and threatened to kill anyone who helped. Patrolman Shirres shot Buckley through the heart as police arrived. Buckley’s two small children witnessed the crime.
