A head on collision between the Bonners Ferry local and an extra freight wrecked a Great Northern passenger train near Elmira Idaho. Fireman Charles Mackey of Hillyard Washington died instantly. Four others, two trainmen and two passengers, were injured including Rev. J. T. Kelly and Engineer J E Bostwick.
