New York December 25 The five trustee investigating committee of New York Life Insurance will review Judge Andrew Hamilton's statement from Paris with Secretary John C McCall. McCall may propose restoring $236,000 in funds to Hamilton if explanations prove unsatisfactory. The statement will also be shown to the executive committee as the younger McCall returns from Paris.
Post and telegraph workers have accepted government terms and resumed duties. A military order bans street newspaper sales, singing revolutionary songs, meetings, and processions with three months imprisonment and a 1500 dollar fine for violators. Railroads plan to resume unless St Petersburg colleagues join the strike.
Direct telegraphic links to Moscow were cut then restored by a roundabout route. Meridian Mississippi December 25 a rear end collision on the Alabama and Vicksburg railroad at Chunkey killed two men and seriously injured three others with several passengers shaken as a freight train struck a stopped passenger coach. In East St Louis Illinois John Daugherty was killed and H Petema of Virginia City Nevada injured in a separate railroad yard incident.
